As part of our commitment to provide citizens with convenient service, Heath Township does partner with Point & Pay to offer credit/debit card payment of taxes and fees through the office.

Point & Pay, the service provider, charges a 3% convenience fee (with a minimum charge of $2.00) for credit/debit card payment processing.

Summer tax payments may be made from July 1st through September 14 without interest/penalty unless the due date falls on the weekend and is then extended to the next business day.

Winter tax payments may be made from December 1st through February 14 without interest/penalty unless the due date falls on the weekend and is then extended to the next business day.

Interest/penalty may be added to payments made after original due date.

Any unpaid taxes as of March 1st are considered delinquent and must be paid to the Allegan County Treasurer.  Contact the Allegan County Treasurer at (269) 673-0260 for pay-off and mailing instructions.

Summer and Winter Deferments

Deferments must be approved and filed with the Treasurer.  Summer and winter tax deferments are qualified for the following:

–  Senior Citizen
–  Paraplegic/Quadriplegic
–  Eligible Serviceman, Veteran, Widow
–  Total and Permanently Disabled or Blind

Delay payment of summer and winter taxes on HOMESTEAD until April 30th.  (Section 59 of The State of Michigan General Property Tax Act)
